Instructor will provide information on how to register with the American Red Cross.</p> <p>This is a blended learning Lifeguard Training course. For blended courses participants must have use of a computer and broadband internet access to complete online coursework.</p> <p>Participants must register by March 28 and pass a pre-test. The in-water skills pre-test is scheduled on Friday, March 28 from 5:15-6 pm.</p>

The pre-test is a 300 yard swim using crawlstroke and breaststroke, a brick retrieval from 7-10ft and swim, and two minutes treading water without hands.<br /> Purchase of the Lifeguard Manual is required. It may be purchased for $32 or may be electronically downloaded for free from the Red Cross website. An additional purchase of a pocket mask is required.</p>
